PCEC Brings Natural Gas Workforce Training Opportunities to the Area

SafeLand & OSHA 10 Certification (14 hours)

The Potter County Education Council will be holding three SafeLand and OSHA 10 Certification courses in the upcoming month.  The two industry standards for Safety Training for the Gas Industry are SafeLand Certification and OSHA 10 General Industry Certification.  With these two certifications, you meet the basic safety training requirements of virtually every company in the industry.  This course combines the SafeLand program with an OSHA 10 program allowing you to earn both certifications in one convenient class.  The topics covered in each program are very similar, however they each have their own unique requirements. By lengthening the course by 4 hours, we are able to complete both certifications in 1 ½ days rather than two full 10 hour days. Upon successful completion of this 1 ½ day course, each student is issued a SafeLand Picture ID with a unique barcode and an OSHA 10 card. SafeLand Certification information will also be stored in a national database.  Course Fee: $325 per person (group discounts are available, call for details). The dates and times for these courses are :September 8 & 9, 2010: Wednesday. This two-day workshop will begin at 8:30 am and be held at the Seneca Highlands Area Vocational Technical School, September 15 & 16, 2010: Wednesday from 8AM – 7PM and Thursday from 8AM – Noon at the Warren Forest Higher Education Council, and October 6 & 7, 2010: Wednesday from 8AM – 7PM and Thursday from 8AM – Noon at the Seneca Highlands Area Vocational Technical School.  To sign up for these courses either visit our website at www.pottercountyedcouncil.org or email Candi Hand at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
