What We Do & Why We Exist

The overall mission of our agency is to raise visibility and build awareness of the Twin Tiers Corridors of Pennsylvania State Route 6 and New York State Route 17 on the worldwide web.  Our agency is comprised of volunteers, businesses, industries, nonprofit entities and a network of others who have come together to support the Twin Tiers Corridors mission. 

What Makes Us Unique

Frequently we are asked "what is the website all about?"  TwinTiersBusiness.com serves the public as an open forum from which readers obtain information about regional events, business and training information, places to stay, eat and shop, jobs and much more along the Corridors.  We are a new organization whose primary objective is to partner with others for tourism advocacy and to promote business and industry within and slightly beyond the regional areas of New York State Route 17 and Pennsylvania State Route 6.   We are the only agency active on the web that highlights and promotes the Twin Tiers Corridors.

Why We Promote the Twin Tiers Corridors

Our agency is in the business of promoting business, tourism and economic development advocacy of the Corridors, as we have witnessed the downward spiral of state and federal funding for small business development and tourism during the past several years.  Nonprofit and for-profit entities have had to tighten budgets, lay off key personnel, sells assets and find other ways to sustain themselves to keep the doors open for customers and clients.  Given these circumstances, coupled with recent severe weather events and the tightening of small business credit opportunities, our agency wishes to provide an additional avenue for the promotion of all entities at little to no cost, so that everyone has an opportunity to participate in our mission.
